Obi is a Nollywood actor, the 2023 election is between PDP and APC but Asiwaju will win- El-Rufai
The Governor of Kaduna state, Nasir El-Rufai has referred to the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi as a Nollywood actor who has no chance of winning the upcoming election. The Kaduna state governor claimed that the battle to succeed President Buhari is between 2 parties, the Peoples Democratic Party and the All Progressive Congress. He noted that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Atiku Abubakar will be the two candidates battling for supremacy because Peter Obi has no chance against them.
El-Rufai while speaking to TVC news correspondents on Thursday claimed that Obi will not go far in the upcoming election because he doesn’t have the political footprints to get at least two-thirds of the total votes. He further explained that the former governor of Anambra state can only win 1 percent in Sokoto, Kano, etc and these are the states that determine who will emerge victorious. He noted that Obi winning 70 percent in Anambra state is not better than someone with 10 percent in Kano state where you have about 4 million voters.
Part of El-Rufai’s statement goes: “Surveys have been done ahead of the election by credible people with political knowledge. The surveys have shown that Peter Obi is a Nollywood actor, the 2023 election is between PDP and APC but Asiwaju will win. Obi will not get anywhere because winning 70 percent in Anambra does not mean you are better than someone with 10 percent in Kano”
